1. Overview

Specd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you use Specd at specd.app (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password (via Supabase Auth). We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal identifiers unless you provide them voluntarily.

2.2 Usage Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including the number of PRDs generated, your subscription plan, and timestamps of activity. This is used to enforce usage limits and display your billing dashboard.

2.3 PRD Content

Free tier: PRD content you generate is processed to produce output but is not stored persistently after your session ends.

Paid tiers (Pro, Architect): PRD content is stored in your private account so you can access your history. This content is visible only to you and is never shared or used for AI training.

2.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store or have access to your credit card number or payment details. We receive only subscription status and plan information from Lemon Squeezy via webhooks.

2.5 Cookies and Analytics

We use essential session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data (pageviews and product events such as PRD generation and export). This data does not include personally identifiable information. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your data. We do not use your idea content for AI training. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the Service (e.g. our database provider, Supabase).

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and PRD history within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Specd:

• →Supabase: Database and authentication
• →Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing and subscription management
• →Vercel: Hosting and deployment
• →Anthropic / OpenAI: AI generation (your idea content is sent to generate the PRD)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We choose providers that take data privacy seriously.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Specd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
